Motorhome Snow/Ice Protection

I use my 2005 AS Interstate as a second car. I keep this motorhome at my home in the woods, on my gravel driveway. I live in Central PA, in a rural development near Harrisburg. I don't have any building, structure, canopy, etc. to keep snow / ice off roof. Constantly clearing snow/ice off the roof to use/drive the motorhome is an impractical, cumbersome process- One I want to avoid.

Has anyone ever kept small electric heaters inside their motorhome to keep the interior temperature above freezing? I'm hoping that would work to melt ice/snow forming or accumulating on the roof.

Any suggestions on equipment, methods, pros and cons of doing this would be appreciated. I would like to avoid the expense, hassle, and ugliness of building shelter, canopy, coverings this winter.

It’s going to accumulate, then will melt and come off when you have a thaw and/or drive south into warmer temperatures.

I’m not at all sure that a heater inside will prevent accumulation on the roof.

If you’re worried about it, might put up an awning type shelter to store it under.
