Batteries and Storage Question

We purchased our first AS a couple months ago: 2019 Classic 30RB. Sadly, the previous owners didn't care for the batteries so we are going to replace them. We are waiting until spring to replace to give us time to decide between another set of AGMs or make the upgrade to lithium.

Here's my question: We are getting ready to tow it to it's winter home - indoor temperature controlled storage facility. I was going to pull the batteries after we towed it to storage, but got to thinking..... Do I need to pull the batteries if we are just going to replace them anyway? Or, can I leave them in the coach and just disconnect the negative cables from the batteries as the manual suggests? My only deviation from the manual is that I won't return to charge them every 30-60 days because I'm not concerned if they degrade more. I believe this is safe. Any thoughts?

If they are toast anyway, it won't hurt a thing. Just put the switch to storage and see if there is anything left when you return.
