'90 Excella drain????

Ok so just when ya think u have it all figured out...

Looking between the tires on the street side this is what I see. I thought the handle had snapped off the tank drain, but I was able to unscrew it and it appears to be a brass nipple with a vacuum cap over it?????

Somebody learn me here!!!!!

That is a lousy patch job from a broken valve.

There are brass ones. However the plastic breaking is better than damaging the tank cover it is screwed to.

So near tires, it is better, I think, to let the soft plastic break than damage stuff thrown up by tires.

Bottom line, buy a new valve. Unscrew the old one by removing the two screws and pull out. There wil e a clear hose, clamped to the broken valve. Swap them out and reinstall.

Thanks Channing. So I was on the right track, it was the original tank drain with a bad repair job. I will repair it right. Thanks for your help.
