Question 25RBQ Bypass in Lavatory >> Access Hole??

This is our first winter with our AS and the manual specifically states for all 4 international models where the bypass valve is located.

Mine just says > In lavatory.

I looked inside the two sliding doors and they are solid white cubbies with no access holes.

The right side of the toilet has the wood that folds over to the floor to hold up the entire cabinet section and the sink countertop.

So my question, how do I access the bypass valve on my specific unit? I've looked high and low on this site and no one seems to have pictures to show its location.

Can someone help me out?

Specifically: 2019 International Serenity 25RBQ

I apologize if this may be somewhere I haven't looked or thought of looking.

I saw someone briefly reply and then the post was gone.... ? Strange.

I stole this from a website but it is the exact representation of our bathroom.

I got off the phone with airstream and asked the same question and they are saying the location is under the wardrobe in the bedroom (adjacent to the bathroom) under the 2 pull out drawers behind the panel door.

I specifically noted/asked the customer service person about it being in the lav and he said its in the bedroom.

I'll double check when I get home, but here is the excerpt I pulled since I'm even asking the question:

For anyone that has my year/model, the bypass valve is in the BEDROOM. It is behind the bottom door where the wardrobe is under the two pull out drawers.

I visually verified it last night.

I will be calling out Airstream as they are passing out bad information.

Hopefully this may help someone in the future.

Regards,
Chris

We have a 2019 Flying Clould RBQ. Another anomaly with this size Airstream that you should note is that the sink in the Lavatory drains into the Black Tank and not the Gray Tank. I learned this the hard way early on.

Thanks Chris for the update on the location. FWIW the owner's manual is often inaccurate, unfortunately.

2019 AS International 25RB

I will be winterizing my AS for the first time and am having trouble locating the water pump that is located under the wardrobe. Any suggestions? Mine does not have the "winterization kit" specified in the sticker. Thank You, J

I was able to open up the cavity under the wardrobe and locate my water pump. The door houses the air vent, the hinges are on the left, you just open it from the right with a pull and it swings free. J

If your trailer is like my 2013 25FB, you may have trouble reaching what you need to from under the closet. The compartment under my fridge has a removable back panel: take out two screws, then lift, tilt, move back and rotate.

Good luck with your winterizing!. Don't forget the toilet, outside shower, or black tank flush.

Maxine-A, Camco makes a Winterizing Kit with a bypass valve and siphon tube. I ended up just using the siphon tube because my water pump had a 90 degree fitting and I couldn’t fit the bypass valve in the space on our previous FC23FB. Our 2019 27’ Globetrotter came with a bypass valve - installed backwards at the factory. I’m at the Jackson Center Service today to get it fixed along with a punch list of other items.

You can just remove the intake line from the pump and connect the siphon hose with the fitting provided. Put the tube in the bottle of antifreeze and turn the pump on. Camco has a short video explaining the process here.

I used a funnel because I couldn’t get the pump to prime. Your mileage may vary...

Hope that helps!
Jeff
