Wrong size crank or not for stabilizers

I have a crank tool with a socket on the end of it that I thought was for the stabilizers but the socket is too small. Am I mistaken this crank with socket is for stabilizers but is too small or is the tool for something else? It is a tool that is straight with a socket on one end and a c shaped bend in the middle. Thanks

Hi,

Possibly the manual crank for the electric jack (on the tongue) in case the battery dies, and you need to hook up or disconnect the trailer from a hitch.

My new 2023 FC 28 has same issue. Manual stabilizer tool is too small for bolt.

Yes, 90% sure you talking about the jack crank. Stabilizers and lug nuts are turned with the Ken-Tool Stow & Go 4-Way Lug Wrench.

But I also have another crank type tool without a socket on one end I thought was for the tongue jack. I should take pictures to help

Have you tried looking in the owners manual?

Most people get a socket, fitted to a battery powered drill, to lower and raise the stabilizers. So not having the stabilizer crank is not a big issue IMHO.

But you should have a crank that fits your tongue jack in case of power/motor failure.

Yeah, this August, some joker 5 lots away was using an electric impact wrench at 6:30 am to raise his stabilizer jacks. Then all the dogs started...... Yikes!

Yeah. Don’t use the impact driver; use the drill

I use a Dewalt drill for the hitch…then use it for the stabilizer jacks. BUT BUT make sure you adjust the torque down or you will twist your wrists.

And yes, my tongue jack wrench is for the stabilizers.
