I did the same except I had most of the parts laying around already. Cutting the slot in the socket was mildly tedious but the rest was a snap. My main goal was to ease the operation of the leveler behind the front step.

I use the entry door mat to cushion my knees.

What to use with impact drill

Sooo I have a impact drill, and am having a lot of difficulty finding an adapter for the round end of the slotted cordless drill adapter. Im not mechanically inclined. Any cost-effective suggestions out there??

You need this: https://www.amazon.com/PANOVO-Leveli...ps%2C83&sr=8-2

Be careful with that impact driver though - really easy to apply too much torque to the stabilizing jacks. They are not intended to lift the trailer at all.

I'm still able to convince myself that every time I have to set the stabilizers, I'm doing my joints and remaining muscles some good. I know that will change! An alternative to extending the bolt, especially for those of us without access to a welder might be to make a guide tube out of PVC pipe that extends out to the edge of the trailer. PVC is cheap, easily cut and glued, and could be attached to the bottom of the trailer. I've not made one yet, but can see it in our future.

2X on what waninae39 said! I did the exact same mod on my 16, loved it, no more getting on my hands and knees to find the jack screw and put on the handled. I ordered the parts on eBay and had GMFL do the work, it is great.

Does that mean the Hex drive you suggest will work on my stabilizers that are actually round??? Thanks!
