Replacing stabilizing legs

How easy is it to replace the stabilizing legs on a 2019 25' FCFB? On our first outing with our lovely AS, the very last campsite we were at had a pretty significant slope to it. So we did what we'd been doing all trip and leveled using the "lego bricks". We had to place some under our tongue jack due to the the severity of the slope and we chocked our tires using X-chocks. However, something went totally awry and the entire trailer slipped completely off all the leveling blocks and bent all four stabilizing legs🥴. Thankfully DH wasn't hurt (he was standing at the tongue jack) and the trailer was ok. The legs were still able to be retracted otherwise we would've had to fully remove in order to tow home.

So is it fairly easy to replace by oneself if we order the parts or should we just take it to the dealer and have them repair and eat the $$?? Dad and brother are quite mechanically inclined but have never worked on a trailer before.

They are usually just held on by a few bolts. If you buy the same brand and model, the holes in the new units should line up with the old bolt holes, so no drilling should even be required. As long as the only damage done was a slight bend to the stabilizing legs, it should be a no brainer.

These aren't Airstream specific. Even a utility trailer supply would probably have them, or Amazon of course. Don't know about Napa, but worth a call.

Easy to replace. Mine had 3 bolts. I got them from Airstream. Airstream has the ones with the extended drive screw to make them more convenient to use. Maybe you could take yours off and straighten them enough.p to keep them?

Definitely a good idea since we will have to pull them off anyway. I didn't get that close a look at them when the AS fell off the leveling blocks but I can't imagine if they were really bent we'd have been able to retract them?

I'm pretty sure those BAL stabilizer jacks are no longer being made..
Straighten them if you can!

ps:
Two of the fasteners holding the stabilizer jacks are screwed into the main frame rails. The further back fastener is screwed into the cross member that is very light gauge metal. Check the frame parts for damage before reinstalling the stabilizers.

Excellent tip about the frame! Sending a prayer to the trailer gods that the frame doesn't have any damage--didn't even think about that!!

I was just looking at some other Airstream material supplier websites, because I'm wondering what is being installed on the new trailers. I found there is a newly designed replacement that is available. So there is a replacement that will bolt right on, but it looks slightly different and has a square foot pad instead of the round.

They hang down a lot lower when retracted. Could be problem.
