Rear Air Bags

Has anyone replaced the rear airbags themselves? We are trying to figure out how hard they are to replace. Is this something my husband a home mechanic can do?
Thanks,
Lynn

It's not hard, normally 2 bolts and an air fitting on top and 1, sometimes 2 bolts on the bottom. Trouble is you can't see the top so you are working blind and it's cramped and dirty and dirt falls in your face. Use heavy jack stands to support the coach while you are under it. While you are there check the bushings in the horizontal dog bone link. Tell your husband to have fun and he will become one with the coach.

Smartstream,
Thank you, I will give this information to my husband. Would you happen to know where we can purchase the replacement airbags?
Best Regards,
Lynn

Try here. Identifying a Firestone Air Ride Spring, Air Spring Tips | SD Truck Springs | Leaf Springs, Helper Springs and Suspension Parts It's also a good explanation of how to identify the your air spring.
