Power Jack

First off..thanks everybody for your great advice & opinions.

Now..yep, I need to replace this power jack also. The switches don’t work right for one. It’s a Barker levelRite 3000. Are there other brands out there that you guys like ?

Tomorrow’s question will be on replacement galley sink faucet !! That needs to go too.

Thanks

Hi

Not to keep you from buying a new toy ... but ... switches generally are a dirt cheap item to replace. Most of them are a generic size and type.

The biggest debate on jack replacement seems to be "how big?". At the very least, you are lifting the tongue weight of your trailer. With some WD hitches, some people also lift quite a bit more than that.

Just for reference, AS seems to have gone to 4,500 lb jacks across the board this year.

Leaping ahead to tomorrows question - the galley faucets seem to be pretty standard residential units. Lowes and Home Depot will happily sell you a wide range of ones that *should* fit. Going over and actually seeing the options probably is a good idea. Oddly enough, the faucet in our trailer is identical to the one in our kitchen here at home ....

Husky Super Brute $200-$400 depending on your source.

Uses a better screw lift bearing system and is therefore quieter, but because it is a 5000 lb jack, it is slower. Expect about 60 sec to run it back to travel position from down far enough to install the weight distribution.

Best - it is silver.

Barker has parts. They also have a similar jack design on their premium models. Barker is also American made and a similar price.

Travel safe and with a smile. Pat
