Looking to buy Rotochoks

So I guess this company is out of business. I am looking for Large size, as I have 4 1/2" between my wheels, does anyone know where I can buy them? Used is fine. Thanks

Pearl, the older lady that ran the Rotochok business, passed away a couple of years ago. From what I understand, she ran the company entirely by herself because her husband had passed earlier. Then I guess a family member?? took over the business, cancelled all of their dealerships according to one dealer I talked too. They sold only direct, now their website has gone down, the domain has expired, and they are not answering the phone.

The ingenuity, quality, and pure aesthetics of the Rotochok is top notch, if you own an Airstream, I would think you would love them. I would searoulsy consider buying their tooling and restarting the company if I was able to connect with them

Thanks, but the Rotochok is much different than the X Chock. I need Large or Medium Large Rotochoks which are hard to find. There appears to be a lot of small ones available, but not large. I am fascinated by the design of these things and wish the company did not close.

I don't understand your post but...

"What if I told you" according to BAL, X Chocks are not suitable to be used as a chock, they are only intended to "Limit unwanted trailer movement" which is the same disclosure by UniFab, Winfield, and all the other manufactures of this type of device.

And... "What if I told you" Rotochoks never had that disclaimer. Invented by a full time RV couple, it was a superior design, brilliant aesthetics, a little American mom and pop business, until the couple passed on not long ago.

I've sent email the the family, have not heard, if the opportunity presents itself where I can buy what remains of the company, I will consider it.

Wow. You really did search for these. When I put rotochok in the Google search box it immediately brought up a link to the company that sells them.

This is getting ridiculous. If you bothered to read the Thread you would see the company your found (VIP) was mentioned above, they are out of stock except for the "Petite" size and that I need Large, and that I called them already.

Thanks for the PM's from the folks who have helped.

I investigated buying a set last year, but it was hard to contact the woman running the place. I tried phone and email many times. When I finally made contact, I was not sure that there would ever be product delivery or support. So I gave up on the idea.

I have a set of Roto-Chocks (2) and love them. Superior quality item. I guess I'm very glad I bought mine a couple of years ago based upon the recommendation from a Roto-Chock thread on this forum.

I've read elsewhere that they are no longer available. Out of business. Were too far down my list. I use some BAL expanding chocks, but they are not of the same quality.

This is definitely an item to search for on eBay or CL.

A set of laminated rubber chocks chained together that semi trailers and big trucks use, one behind wheel one in front of wheel, trailer will not move, and you will spin your tires if forgetting to remove them. They are not fancy or have fancy names, they just work and won't let trailer move forward or back. I forgot one time, my 6 liter big block [396hp] chev 3/4 ton could not move trailer. Also they cost in neighbor hood of $10.00 unless can find from trucker etc.

Looking to buy Rotochoks

Yeah, the big and tall laminated ones. Hard to store, for starters. And a good deal more than $10. Northern Tool has them on website and usually in store. Best for the truck itself.

My truck will, at idle, pull my 35' right over the short hard rubber ones if I'm not careful.

No, the Rotochoks are also about keeping the trailer from rocking as you walk about inside. Same for winds hitting the trailer when parked. The crank down stabilizers and inter tire chocks are about as good as we can do with our trailer type. The brand I have as above are good but not great.

Can't use JT Strongarms, for example.

I hope you can. Since this thread I've recommended them at least four times. Hope to find a eBay set myself.

The vendor mentioned above has changed their website, the Rotochok company is gone for good.

What we did was buy a size that was too large, I found three pair at a dealer who had them in his warehouse and were forgotten about. We then modified the plates to fit and have a pair. They are awesome.
