If you have a Bambi Sport (17 or 22)... do not spend any time worrying about this axle lift mod. IT IS THE CAT'S MEOW.

Airstream simply made these trailers TOO LOW for their own good.

The only adverse thing I can say ...is ...nothing. Handling and towing do not change. However, your boarding step will be 2-1/2" higher, as will your hitch height. My short wife does not want me to lower the steps, however, so it's a non-concern.

The sewer no longer hits the drive when pulling in or out for gas or entering or leaving a ramp.

does anyone who bought the K71-7240-2 dual #11 lift kit want to sell the other half.
at $170 list, it a lot of $ to waste half the kit.

PM me if you have a half kit for sale that you have no use for

Crawl under your Sport and look at the identification decal pasted onto the axle carry-through.

My 22' Sport has a #11 Axle. I'll bet yours does also.
As far as I have seen, those lift kits are only sold in pairs, so finding another Sport user having half their kit for sale is the only other option for a mfr'd kit.

I may be interested in the split with the Sport. Just picked up a 2016 16 and I tow with a 3" lifted Tundra. Swapped from a 2016 RPod 179 Hood River Edition so I had like 14" clearance and I think where I go I'll want all the space I can get ...

I want to clarify for those who are under the impression that ALL Dexter axles must be "worn out" if their axle torque-arms aren't descendant some claimed "angle"...like 30-degrees down or some other angle.

NOT CORRECT.

Dexter makes these axles with several different specifications as to spindle/axle-angle. The Sport series in particular, have LEVEL torque-arms when NEW. It's one reason the Sports sit so low and sometimes the owners feel the need to add LIFT KITS.

Here's a pic of a quite ordinary, NORMAL CONDITION #11 axle such as on the 22' Sport series. Notice the torque-arm is virtually LEVEL by design.

When the rubber cords inside a square-tube axle such as a Dexter is completely worn out... the axle will no longer "bounce" or "flex" when travelling over uneven or rough terrain. A simply method to test this is to compare your model axle to it's original angle, which is posted at the Dexter website. Also, if you walk inside and vigorously jump up and down and your axle has no "give"... you can be fairly assured you need to examine it further.

Ordinary parcel post is a cheaper alternative and usually only takes a few days.

I shipped similar wt across the US for $11, and it was there in 4 days.

i'm in Canada. this is a cross border shipment.
cheapest rate from the post office. fedex, ups et.al. are even more
as well shipping in the US is far less than here

even though i have amazon prime, they will not honor free shipping to me

that the best i can do.
i make no money of this sale, this is just a break even price for me

Oh, Dear.... I didn't notice the Canada domicile... sorry.

Yes, I've run into issues when shipping cross-border also with Customs regarding such shipments of parts and declared-value statements.

I live close to the Canada/USA border and will often drive to Buffalo to mail parcels to friends and relatives as it so much cheaper and faster.

Updated rates; all are 4-5 rates fedex $51 ups $58 Canada post $50 the closest US border Is a 1.5 hour drive. thus a 4 hour return journey to save $40 on shipping. but I have to eat the gas cost and a half day lost. ill stick with my initial offer that is strictly cost recovery
