jt strong arm- final install

when i first got our FC 25FB, the dealer installed 4 of 6 JT strong arms. The tech could not figure out how to install the two side ways rams.

as the foot is wider on the 2023 FC, it does not work with the lippert 4" swing bolts.

i found the lippert 314592 adapter lug and used it to bolt the side arms onto the angled leg as there was already a suitable hole to mount it.

here is the final install of the two side arms ( the front to back were done already) on an FC 25FB at the read

I'm also curious what they are for?

There was movement with your four stabilizer jacks properly set?

AS provided leg are for leveling. in the manual they state that

the JT strong arms are only locked in place after you are level
the JT strong arms provide front to back and side to side stability
they are also very common on 5th wheel trailers

I hope you miss printed that. If I use my stabilizing legs to get to level, they would most likely bend. I use my hitch jack and tire levelers to get level and then put my stabilizers down to just snug. They really do make a difference, but I would never use them to get to level.

Lots of factors there, but if you're pretty level to begin with? Why not put a little tweak on one side, just a little bitty one?

Mikebrady62 is absolutely correct - the jacks on an Airstream are called stabilizing jacks, not leveling jacks, for a reason. They are not intended to level anything.

Not even a little tweak - if you have to use the stabilizing jacks to correct an out-of-level situation your trailer wasn't level enough to begin with.

These side-to-side & front-to-back supports being discussed are interesting, but how do they improve on having solid tire chocks and properly placed stabilizing jacks? Never seen them in person so not sure how they work.
