Is the 5000 needed for a 22 or 4000 or 4500?

You have to decide what’s reasonable. A 4000 may work just fine, however, for longevity, a more powerful one may last a lot longer. My 22 footer has a 3500 pound jack on it. When it wears out, it will get the heaviest duty one I can afford...

I put the 5000 on my 30’ Classic slide out once the OEM wore out. It really was a no brainer since it was cheaper than replacing with the OEM Super Jack.
