BAL Stabilizer Size
Howdy all,
Today's mystery -- what size BAL stabilizer might be on my 86 Sovereign -- the choices are 20, 24 and 30.
Need one new set of side stays after banging one up.
Thanks,
Mike

If no one else chimes in here, I can go out to my trailer tomorrow & measure for you. Right now it's raining cats & dogs, so it'll have to wait till tomorrow!

For any Airstream or Argosy trailer, there is only "one" size.

Andy,
My Safari has a very light duty set of stabilizers, compared to those on the Excellas I have had. Will the heavier type bolt right in place if I change them out?
Thanks!

BAL makes one size for Airstreams, to the best of my knowledge, which if I remember correctly at night time, is 13 inches.

20'' extension with a 13" actuating screw as opposed to the more common 8" screw.

Is anyone running a BAL stabilizer with a shorter than 13" actuating screw? Is it that much harder to crank it up? Just curious...
Thanks

Barry.
The shaft is 13 inches, so that you don't have to get on your knees to find the hex head.

Thanks Andy..does the 13" screw stick out to the edge of the vertical wall? Doesn't seem like the 5" between the 8" screw and the 13" screw would make that much difference? But then again having not had to deal with either, I was just trying to make sense of it...

Yes, that screw comes out to be flush with the side walls.
In that way, older folks, like me, don't have to fish around for them.
