Bal Stabilizer lubrication

The long metal worm gears on my Bal Stabilizers were creaking so I brushed them with a coat of white hitch lube ( litheum ??)
It was readily available. I was thinking that might have been a mistake and the grease will attract dirt and grit and grime and grissle. But they are quiet now. What do you use ?

I use silicone spray to avoid the problem with dirt accumlation. Mine are quite rusty and the silicone seems to work ok.

I've used anti-seize lube with no apparent collection of dirt or grime. I also use it on my vent cover cranks.

Craig -- Is there a specific brand to that anti-seize or is this a generic item at an auto parts store? Thanks
