Anderson Levelers

Anyone have any experience with the red Anderson Levelers especially with duel axel? I'm seeing mixed reviews on the interweb.

I see threads here with people using the Lego blocks but that seems time consuming considering the Anderson's boast a one and done philosophy. Lifetime warranty seems like a plus too.

Anyway thanks for taking the time.

Nice. Didn't even know about that brand. They even look better in the pics. Thanks! By the way did you have to cut the end of one of the levelers due to the dual axle? Assuming you have dual.

I have been using the Anderson levelers for two seasons and about to start a third. They have worked great with zero problems.

Good to hear. As always it's never an easy decision.

Been using the Anderson with zero problems. Once you get a communication system between your spotter and driver it just works.

Yes, cut one a bit shorter. Do a google search on Anderson block failure.

With Anderson levelers and Levelmate Pro, I can level my dual axle trailer on first try every time by myself. I did trim my Anderson levelers. Took about 2 inches off. I cut between the holes through the plastic.

The Anderson levelers and the LevelMate Pro are a great combinations.

I too had to trim a bit off the length but have had no issues with breakage. Be aware that they can slip when pulling onto them.

Andersen levelers have worked very well for us in three seasons. Still holding up well.

Both of our Anderson levelers have cracked in half. Yes, they have a lifetime warranty, but that doesn’t do you much good when they crack in the middle of an extended trip. I need something reliable. I might try those Beach Lane. I like that they are black instead of the bright red of the Anderson.

My Anderson’s have survived 3 years of abuse. Used 80+ times. I didn’t need to trim mine.

Did they break in the arches? I have some made by CARMTEK which work well and are painted black.

Yes. If you stay on smooth, paved surfaces they’re probably fine, but we boondock about 50% of the time and they don’t seem strong enough if you get on uneven surfaces that put some stress on them.

I have used them for one summer. They are sturdy enough and work well in combination with the LevelMate Pro on a relatively hard surface with a moderate slope. However, I would not recommend them for boondocking.

It looks like LogicBlue, the makers of LevelMate, now make their own levelers. They’re black like I prefer and made in the US. I’ve been very happy with my LevelMate so I might give them a try. The Beach Lane levelers look like they could be decent, but they’re made in China.

I used to have the beech levelers. They lasted three years full timing. I just replaced them with Anderson and these will need to be replaced at 18 months. They don’t hold their shape and now only give a 3inch lift. I will buy beech again.

Our Andersons seemed to hold their shape fine, but they were too brittle. Maybe they softened their plastic to try to counter the breakage issue, but that made them less durable?

Damn there's some good info coming out of this thread. Seems like no matter what none of them last "forever" so at least having the lifetime warranty option on a product is a must.

I had some for awhile and got sold them. We had issues with them sliding on the ground and getting stuck between the tires and frame. Also there was another step involved in getting out of the truck to put the wedge in place.
I went back to 2 x 10 wood boards in combination with a big bubble level. Half way between increments is one board thickness, two increments mean two board thickness. I also keep some 3/4" for getting closer. My system is quick and simple and most importantly my wife understands what needs to be done when we are setting up on a campsite.
