2015 28 foot AS-Land Yacht

I am new AS owner. At the end of Dec 2014 I took delivery, and drove it home from Florida. Since then I have been waiting for parts to make repairs. To this Brand new TT. I received a call Friday Feb 20 to bring the AS to my repair facility. Backed the truck up and attempted to raise the trailer with the electric jack It refused to work. Checked the fuse it was OK, checked battery voltage it was excellent. The Jack's Light worked so I knew it was receiving voltage. After placing a jack under the hitch I had it high enough to attach it to the truck. Called the Mfg.- Barker, They are sending a complete new jack. I was wondering if anybody has had problems with Barker Jacks?

Your debugging routine was spot on, so you must just have a bum jack.

We have a 2014 and so far have not had any problems with the jack. I have to admit that losing the use of the jack while boon docking in the middle of nowhere is on my list of "worst nightmares."

Barker Part no 736-0009. Actuator Toggle switch. My Airstream Dealer had the switch in stock.
So here is the story and it's not pretty.
I had the same issue that you had. The jack was stuck but I was trying to disconnect the Airstream from my Jeep so I found my emergency crank and gave the jack motor a little turn. Then I operated the toggle switch with the crank still attached to the top of the motor. The motor sprang to life and whipped the crank across my arm, lacerating the flesh and exposing a great big vein on the underside of my forearm. Oops.
I assume that since the dealer had the part in stock, that this is not an unusual problem. Perhaps Barker may improve future switches. Perhaps I will not be so careless should the problem happen with my new switch. Safety 24/7. Jim
