1975 H&H power jack replacement parts??
Hi learned and wise campers, on the last night of our family vacation, I got the last spot at a state park in eastern NE. It was basically a hill. No sweat I carry a 14"x14" hunk of oak in the truck for just these moments. I raised the jack to level, a little past level as I checked the bubble. So I thumbed it down. Hmmm.. motor noise, no movement. Smart guy, try up again, nada. Dark, angry children, etc.. dinner, bed (for them) , frosty beverage, crappy flashlight clamped in mouth. What kind of man doesn't own a headlamp by 2013??? Back out to QUIETLY take jack apart in campground, as family had requested crack-o-dawn departure to be in line at zoo as animals were prodded into action. I found the motor to be fine, its drive gear to be fine, the gear attached to the jack top to be fine, the intermediate gear, with wee one on the bottom friction fit into a big one on top, no longer friction fit. Can replacement parts be has for these jacks? I hate to scrap it it seems fine otherwise, except for the fact that the torque limiting device that is supposed to prevent you from shanking the parts apart also did not function. Also with an old one do you still need to sychronize the motor and the mechanics? Many thanks
