Wet FloorBoard

We are renovating this 1994 Excella.

We had decided not to take off the inner skins, and then we had a huge rainstorm!

After the rain, the floor was wet in a section close to the wall/wheel well.

The red circled area is where the floor is wet (this picture doesn't show the wetness).

The wetness seems to be seeping in from the wheel well/wall.

So now we are not sure how to proceed and would like some advice.

Where is the most probable place the leak is coming from? We are assuming the wall somewhere. It is definitely not dripping from the ceiling.

Should we take off just this inner skin (which is the whole width of the 34 ft trailer)-- (I don't know why they didn't break it up into more manageable sections when building.)

Or can we caulk seams and rivets on the exterior and spray some water with the hose to see if it is fixed?

We are new to Airstream renovation and while we have read different threads on the forums about renovation and inner skins most of what we have read pertains to much older vintage trailers. Ours is a 1994.

We have struggled with deciding on where or not to pull all the inner skins off - this was BEFORE we noticed the we floor.

Now it seems inevitable BUT we wanted to bring it to this forum and get your expert advice.

Many Thanks!
