WATERPROOFING an Airstream

Picked up an old Twinkie who needs lots of love lots of work lots of restoration. Got a birthdays greeting to stay dry. Now I am worried actually.
So my question is has anyone ever wrapped a trailer in 3m Vinal Clear or colored. If so once it's polished does it stick well?

Want to do either a clear or colored wrap vs removing rivits to reseal, beside it's 800 in labor 300 in wrap and done deal. Vs 400 hours at 10 an hour to do it correctly. Just seeing if anyone else has cheated like this?

I like it. Please keep us posted, I would definitely like to see how it comes out. A nice GOLD tint would look so good...

There’s a lot of commercial applications that have used skins to brand the trailers as mobile showrooms and offices. I have a number of friends who have done this to cars and trucks, too. (Somewhat) Easy to remove and change colors/designs. Seems like a great idea to help seal a trailer at the aluminum seams, but won’t solve window/door/access leaks. I’m eager to see your completed photos!
