TremPro 635 polyurethane is what I've seen written about as the new alternative. Available from Vintage Trailer Supply, I understand. Fastenal stores can order it too.
I prefer sikaflex 221 easier to work with. If you are using it in an area exposed to uv go with 721. Clean up is with soapy water. I get mine from a local rv dealer.
For panel seams Silkaflex or Alcoa Gutterseal. Vulkem (Trempro) is not the best for panel seams but sure is better than silicone. If the old stuff is silicon (is it rubbery?), it's a real (explitive deleted) to get rid of and you may want some silicone remover.
