Sealing outside rail

Had a 2" gap in top of rail open up. Water getting in and freezing. I put a bead of ACRYL-R to seal but smeared some on the aluminum panel. HOW DO YOU CLEAN THIS STUFF OFF? Will Goo-Off work or some other application? Also, how do you clean the Acryl-R pump? Can you just leave it in container with the pin inserted in applicator?

Working with Acryl-R

I will take the easy question: for the Acryl-R applicator, I just leave it in the can. A year after my last use, I can pick it up and use it again. At some point it may freeze up, and then I will get another applicator.

The hard question - how to remove Acryl-R. I have not found a way. I have replaced side marker lights and sealed with Acryl-R, and gotten some smudges where I don't want them. I wiped with a rag, and left what remained. I did not try goo-gone or anything, as I didn't want to see if it affected the clear coat.

Good luck!
