I was just about to post the same thing. We have a 73 Ambassador and I would like to get some work done. I've had good experiences with the dealer in the past, but would be interested in someone freelance if they were knowledgeable.
What I'm looking for
1. leak location (I've got a couple)
2. complete and neat strip and reseal of the roof and sides, using the proper sealants
3. A few small upgrades/fixits that I'm just not finding time for right now (replace carpet with planks, put rub rail back around the outside body (the blue rubber material)
If anyone knows a freelancer who'd do a couple day's work to do this, I'd be interested. Otherwise I'll have the dealer do the reseal and then do the planks ourself.
Thanks,
Derek
PS, I looked at the Sealtech site and the dealer in Covington has one, as does Speedway RV in Monroe, so choices are limited. I probably am best off just having the dealer do it all properly and being good to go for another 5 years or so, but am still open to local "handymen" suggestions.
