Not sure how to seal this vent

Hi,

I am fixing up a ‘78 Sovereign. Not doing a shell of rebuild, I don’t have the budget. But, I am doing interior work as the frame seems okay enough to wait a few years. However, the current electrical setup is up at the front where I believe it was originally.

The vent that I believe is originally the univolt vent is completely open to the elements (and critters) to come inside. I am putting a frame on the inside which closes off the electrical except for access panels however it won’t be so good that I really think it’s critter proof.

Does anyone have experience with this or suggestions on how to seal this vent? I also have unsealed spaces coming in from the battery panel on the left of the vent. Not sure exactly how to tackle this but welcome suggestions!

Thanks in adavance,
Annika
