Mystery Rainwater Leak in Shower Pan

OK - To me, this is really weird! We had some pretty hard rain last night, so this morning I went into our '83 Sovereign to check for leaks. The only water I found on a cursory look was in the shower pan (and no, nobody has used the shower!). This is not the first time I've seen this - the last time I just thought I was going crazy and wrote the whole thing off.

Could rainwater from the roof vent fill the trap and backup into the shower pan? I highly doubt that as the shower drains OK into the greywater pan. There is no evidence of leaks or water anywhere else in the shower. Anybody else experienced something like this and have any tips before I start tearing things up to find the source of the rainwater leak?

First place to look is the cap on the shower fan. They have been known to crack letting water in. If cracked the water is supposed to drain back out on the roof but the weep hole that allows this can get covered with dirt. you will have to remove the cap to check the weep hole.

Found out where the water is coming from to get into the shower pan! It was (is?) coming from the interior panel seams in the outside wall of the shower! Now, just to find out where that water is coming from! I noticed there is a plumbing vent cap just over the shower that had a deteriorated gasket - fixed that, so now we'll have to see.

Sewer vent pipe covers last 2 to 3 years, and then should be replaced.

When I replaced the vent pipe covers on my fiberglass SOB, I used galvanized steel replacements. They lasted for as long as I had the trailer. However, I imagine that is bad idea on aluminum skin.

I am wondering if anyone has seen any aluminum vent pipe covers.
