Leak

Big leak at door opening. I have sealed the top of the door opening and the light with Vulkem.
This is a lot of water in a short time.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Check above the door at the awning supports and vent opening, it may be entering there and running down the inside to exit at the door opening. Get your wife to hold a hose on a ladder at these spots and watch inside from inside for which place shows water then seal it with Vulkum.

Was it a driving rain that caused the leak? Could it be the door seal? Without seeing it in person is difficult to give advice. But perhaps the leak is coming from the top of the roof and running down the inside to the top of the door. I would look higher.

Leaks can be maddening!

It was a downpour. Not exactly a driving rain, but it was blowing against the door side of the AS.

I will do the hose test today. It seems like I get one leak stopped and then another pops up. Arrrgh[emoji35][emoji31]

I did a garden hose leak test with wife inside the trailer. No leaks at all from the top surfaces but as soon as I pointed the hose at the top of the door water poured in just like in the storm. I am guessing the weather seal is old and needs replacing so I will Start there.

Well it looks as if I have a twisted door that is not seating properly. The technician pointed it out to me along with inspecting a weld in the door that was not very Airstreamish in quality. He installed an additional D gasket across the top of the door header in the hope that will stop the leak.

I can only assume that the damage to the door occurred when a prior owner did not secure it...either on a windy day, or even while moving.
