How do you see your late model airstream 2009-2014 end caps re caulking

See the attached video re ladder method of getting up and on your airstreams roof.
What concerns me is (see minute 3:29 and stop and notice the end caps) how the caulking covers the rivets and the entire seam. I have been up my roof and the rivets are exposed with a bead of caulking about half the width of the one on the video.
My question how many of you have your end caps caulked, covering the rivets and a wide seam or like mine with a narrow strip of caulking on the seam leaving the rivets exposed.
I have a 2013, 27 FB, prior to the ducted system, so that is why I am comparing it to the 23 FB. it appears that Airstream has changed it's protocol when caulking the end caps by making sure the rivets are covered, knowing the end caps are a critical union to the rest of the trailer.
I'm thinking I should do similar? Opinions of owners in this range of years all models what do you think?

Caulking width on end caps

OK Looks like the newer 23 fb is a ducted system in the video and that is why I see a difference in the caulking method, compared to my 27 fb roof. Still interesting to see how much wider the seams of caulking are in the ducted roofs (white) , they appear to be an inch plus wide and cover the rivets.

A little Preventative maintenance here ,bought a couple of tubs of Sikaflex 221 white to do the end caps, to cover the rivets.
