How Do I Replace Windows In '61 Bambi
I have just purchased a '61 Bambi that will need all the windows re-sealed and one glass replaced (if I don't break the rest taking them out).
I see it looks like I can order materials from Vintage Trailer Supply.
Is there anyplace or anyone that can tell me the process for the re-install?
HELP PLEASE!

Nancy, welcome to the forums.. I think this one will do the trick:
Restoration Topics - Window Repairs
you'll also find they have a lot of other great little DIY articles in their restoration resources section (link at the top of the screen from the link here)

Hi Nancy and welcome to the forums ~
I imagine your windows are very similar to mine. If you'll go look at your lower window frame that is riveted to the skin, there should be a number similar to HEHR 1009 4219. If this is the case, removing them is a fairly simple task. I can walk you through it once we determine your style of window.
Let's see some pictures of your new-to-you beauty. We all here love to see pictures.
Glad to see another vintage Airstream owner here in the Valley.

Thank you so much for the speedy reply. I'm glad I'm not alone out here. I will try to attach a few photos of my trailer. I appreciate any input you seasoned veterans can give. I don't even know how (or if) the water and sewer systems work. I have taken a leap of faith with this gal and I will take things one step at a time. Right now it is the windows.
You are welcome to come by and take a look in person anytime. I am in Tempe just off the 101.
Best regards,
Nancy

1961 Bambi Photos and VIN#
Here are a few "before" shots.
I am wondering how to read the VIN number.
It is 161T117
It is an Ohio built unit.
Can you decipher it for me?

What a beautiful little trailer. She looks to be in great shape. Here's a go on the VIN:
161T117 - 16 for 16 foot (making it a Bambi), 1 for '61 (model year), T for twin bed and 117 for the 117th Bambi made in Ohio
Did you get this trailer locally and if so, did you have to tow it far? How did it handle?
Maybe this week we can hook up. I'd like to see her in person. Shoot me a PM (private message) and we can connect.

When you get the replacement gaskets in hand, replacing the gaskets and window glass is easy. The glass is standard window glass, and is pretty inexpensive.
To remove, simply peel out the old gaskets, and the window should pretty much fall out. After you clean the gasket tracks, place the glass in the window, and apply some silicone slip-spray to the track. Cut the gasket to fit, with a 45 degree angle facing the center of the window, and work the gasket into the track using something reasonable thin and blunt. Apply aluminum colored Parrbond to the joints at the corners.
That's it.
