hinge leak

I have a leak at the door hinge. There is a small gap (arrow) between the hinge and the body for some reason. I have the inside skin pulled back enough that I can actually watch the water flow in, which then runs down the rib to the floor. I see no reason to remove the hinge because it seems very tight. Is there a sealer recommended for this type of leak? I have vulkem, but I was thinking something thinner that would flow into the gap.

Thanks, TomE

Parr-Bond will work fine.

That gap was designed to accept the sheetmetal seam, which was not always placed in the same spot.

But since you have Vulkem, seal the leak from the inside.

I have used Paarbond, and it seems to work. Just remember it is messy and I would suggest using blue masking tape to reduce the need for clean up. I have a small plex window that I sealed with it and did not pretape. Can not get the stuff off.
Cheers bill b.

I had the same leak on my 67. I used this Capt. Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure also put it on the hinge rivets, they were leaking also.

That sounds like a cure for plumber's butt.
