Flextape on a roof seam?

QUESTION:
Has anyone used Flex tape or Flex Seal to repair their Airstream, on the roof or on any leaks or to hold something together?

It seems like Flextape might work on a leaky roof seam. That's what I'm thinking.

Used it for the first time yesterday on a boat cover. Patched a quarter sized hole ins boat cover then towed 150 miles at 70 mph. Held well on canvas and vinyl. If you have a white top you could prob use it. I would go with a aluminum and mastic HVAC tape if you have an aluminum top. I know the alum tape works . I have used it many times. Good luck.

So is your trailer the SquareStream on your photo? Whatever, I don't think a tape, and I've used several on various projects over the years, will be more than a temporary fix, and difficult to remove after it's life has ended. Best solution would be to find the source of the leak and patch with a product like Sikaflex, seal it up and then monitor it.

I've read others have used it on their roof but if you suspect a leaky seam and can reproduce the leak by running water on the seam I'd duct tape the seam, run water and if the leak doesn't appear then pull about 6" of tape off and apply water. If the leak appears after exposing the last rivets then you can concentrate on sealing or replacing those rivets then retest.

I have use a 3M seal tape on my 25' airstream which had a big leak over rear roof rivet joint. Stopped the leak!!! Have read others who say will last for a decade (we shall see). Best if you use a small paint roller to apply additional pressure. Stuff is pretty cool.
Name on amazon:

3M 4412N 2.95275590551 181in X 5yd Sealant Tape (1 Roll)
