flex seal on airstream travel trailers

Has anyone used flex seal to seal the roof seams, around the windows and window seams and the seams around the door, if so how good of a job does it do?

I used it on the inside of my fathers attwood water heater door. It had rusted due to an untended leak from the drain plug. Used black flex seal to reprint after rust was removed. Worked great!

I don't think I would consider trying their spray can stuff, I think it would make a real mess unless you masked everything really well.

They sell another product that looks likes some sort of caulk in a pressure can - I had though of maybe getting a bit more info on that. Even there though I would have some concerns (apart from how well i seals.)

(1) how well can you control it when being dispensed?

(2) after using it once, does the can get plugged up to the point of being un-usable the way those spay insulating foam cans sometimes do?

Not too much wrong with Acryl-R in its dispensing gun for the thin self-wicking applications and polyurethane caulk in cartridges for everything else (sikaflex and similar). Easily applied and smoothd in place with a finger.

I should keep an open mind though and certainly defer to anyone who has used Flex Seal!

Brian.

flex seal

We used flex seal in a spray can all over the inside of our airstream shell because we had a ton of leaks coming from leaky rivets and the seams where the aluminum meets. It worked amazing and has held up perfectly for the last 6 months so far. We've had really heavy rains and we are totally dry inside. Ive even had a heat gun on the flex seal and it did not change at all.

Works great

We fixed literally all of our leaks with flex seal. Its been a year and everything looks great! It didn't make a mess, we sprayed it all along the rivets and for the Windows while ours was gutted. Huge fan. Volcom came in handy too.

Posting this in a huge font is kind of like a shouting television commercial.

The tube flex seal is basically silicone.
