door gasket adhesive

Can anyone recommend a good adhesive for gaskets to aluminum? I have some gaskets either off or on their way to off mostly on the outer hatch doors, battery, and access to the water heater etc.

We use 3M Gasket adhesive from VTS...seems to work fine.

Yes, 3M works well. But you can get it at most if not all auto parts/supply store. Get the black in color not the orange.

Thank you guys. That is exactly the info I was looking for. Once again, this forum is a time saver and a tremendous resource for the newbie airstreamer just trying to get on the road!

Use 3M Super weatherstrip adhesive "ONLY," which is black.

It has far more holding power than the yellow adhesives.

It also costs more, justified by the superior performance.

We sill over 1000 tubes of it yearly.
