dispensing tool for 'toothpaste tube' packaged caulk
Hello, it's sometimes tiring to dispense thick caulk carefully from a small aperture in the tip of a toothpaste style tube, e.g. when doing the tiny crevices of the rubrails and around windows. Here's a homemade tool that is for dispensation of a small bead of caulk. It gives excellent control and is very comfortable to use, and it's as cheap as it gets.
It's just a stick shaped like an old clothes pin, about 8" long, 3/4" x 1", with a slot cut down the middle and the sharp edges eased with a block plane or sandpaper. To use, just slip the tail of the tube into the slot and wind it around the with stick with one hand (right hand), while the other (left hand) guides the tip of the tube. Easy!
