spring, sprang, sprung
while removing my original roof vent covers one of the springs sprang from my grasp and sprung into the wilderness of my yard. I had to spring for 3 new replacements @ $10 each. Upon receipt I pained the new springs florescent orange before attempting to re-install. Now if a spring sprang from my grasp I'll have not sprung for more replacements.

Grammarian alert!
