Roof Vent Screens

I’m rescreening the roof vents on my 64 Safari. The square vents and rectangular Vista view. The screening part is straight forward.



Where can I obtain the aluminum grommets that the 3/8”shaft for the Ladeau opener handle sticks down through?



The original grommets are 1” outside diameter and have 9/16” center hole.

All I can find are regular hardware store type, brass, tarp corner grommets which don’t have large enough center hole.



Also, how do I install the grommets, special grommet tool?

Oops, my rectangular vent is an Astro dome type

Walter: I don't know of anyone who stocks those grommets. I ended up using two washers per hole, one on each side of the screen. Superglue and clamp.
