Red face Replace roof vent

I have a 1971 31' AS, the cover for the galley roof vent which measures 14" x 25" has dissappeared. The only replacement I can find is molded plastic cover. I think I might could have a galvanized metal replacement made, so I would still have ventalation, but that could get expensive. Any ideas??????

Have you seen this from VTS? It's lexan not plastic. Should work nicely.

The old cover had two threaded flat metal brackets which held the cover in place and adjusted the vent. This cover looks nice but how does it attach to roof? Thanks for your help

On these reproductions, you typically have to resuse your original hardware.

I'm not familar enough with your model, but you could give VTS a call, they'll know.

Astradome Cover VTS

Just received my replacement vent cover from VTS. Its the center 14x26 cover above galley. I ordered the model for 1970 and later. Its a perfect fit!!! Yes you do have to use your existing hardware and its a bit pricey at $143.00. Its made of lexian so I think its worth the cost.
