Hi, I have a 65
Caravel.
I know what the original range hood looks like and how it operated. Mine was rust out, totaled and had no guts. I salvaged the angled box and the 5" round that goes out. It's been blasted and repainted. I purchased a new modern hood. Blanked the back vent and cut a hole in the top to fit the angled box.
So this is my question. How would you prevent a backdraft? A flaper like a dryer vent? A loover on the outside? Any other ideas?
Thanks, Dave
