Maxxfan lift mechanism

Has anyone had this problem? The mechanism from the tune knob has become detatched from the gear that lifts the vent. I removed the screen and fan blade and a small casting of some sort fell out. Are parts available for these vents? I can't find any parts list on line. Sal

Great service

As an update, I just got off the phone with a service rep at Maxxair. I explained my problem, and he asked for the serial # which shows the unit is 5 years old. He said it was still under warranty and is sending out the parts I need at no cost. This might have been due to 60 mph gusts over the weekend. I always appreciated the features of this fan but always wondered if the service was as good as Fantastic products. Now I know. Sal
