Maxim skylight

I just installed a new Maxim Skylight. I luv it so far because of its build quality. We are currently experiencing rain and I noticed a build up of water on the edges. I have no leaks, just want to know if this normal and if so has anyone had experience with this water freezing.

Yes, due to the aluminum frame there is a small lip around the skylight. A small amount of water will collect there. I installed two of these on our trailer about 10 years ago, very happy with them, no issues.

I have two maxim skylights as well. Had them installed when the unit was new, I have the same water build-up and have never experienced an issue. About 8 years in use and no issues.
