How to reattach hinge for hehr vent operator

In attempting to force (yeah, I know) a stuck hehr vent operator on my 1960 Overlander, I broke the hinge loose from the end of the operator. I was able to disassemble and repair the operator using the wonderful information from this forum. The operator is now working great, but I still have the issue of how to reattach the hinge to the operator. The hinge is still attached (I assume rivited?) to the vent lid.

Anyone have any suggestions, or am I still looking at calling Andy for new operators? Thanks.

The hinge is riveted. I drilled out the rivet and got the operator and the hinge together. Then I spent some time with a good wire brush to get all the parts clean. A little JB weld and some time was all it took to make the two parts one again.

Then I reattached with some rivets and used a little jb weld to reseal the rivets. I know that may not be the "Factory" method. But for my budget trailer it works.
