Question Fantastic Fan Vent Lid Adjustable? (Hitting Ultrabreeze Cover)

Hi all! We recently added an Ultrabreeze cover over one of our Fan-tastic fans, and the Fan-tastic fan vent lid hits the cover when the lid is raised.

Does anyone know how (or whether) the fully-open fan vent lid height can be adjusted? Both of our fans seem to open very wide when you flip the "open" switch. It seems like an obvious thing to be able to adjust, but I didn't find anything in the manual about how to do so.

(Related: Are we in danger of burning out the lid opening motor or mechanism by opening it and having it stopped by the cover?)

Our's does not have an adjustment, but you could shorten the arm.
Pull the handle down and open it manually, I wouldn't force it. Push it back up and it will close with the motor 👍

Mine just stops when it hits the cover. Been a year and it still works fine.

The motor is designed to stop when it meets resistance. That’s why it doesn’t continue to buzz after you hear the little ‘squeak’ when it contacts the Ultrabreeze cover.
I added covers day one. Four years later and many open/close cycles and all is well.

Mine it's too. Not a problem 3 years later. Motor stops when it hits resistance.

Ditto. Added Ultrabreeze covers to both of our AS's and perfect so far. Lid stops when it hits the cover.

Thanks for all the non-problem reports! I would like to adjust the lid so that it doesn't hit the cover (if I can figure out how), but it's good to know that it probably won't burn itself out in the mean time.

Maybe remove it? My fantastic fans have been fine so far.

Well, it's been 17 Seasons without a FF problem, I almost always open manually, rarely all the way up, let the rain sensor or switch on motor to close close. Werks for us

Disclaimer...we don't 'ultra breeze', DW things they are butt ugly, I tend to agree.😂
