Fantastic Fan power oscillation

On 12v and 110v the fan motor continually oscillates slightly on/off by itself. This causes the motor to continue running when the vent is all the way up or down. The resistor speed switch was swapped out and the exterior rain sensor was replaced with no change. Voltage at the switch jumps around from 1 to 110 volts. Any suggestions without replacing the fan unit is greatly appreciated.

The unit should never see 110 volts !

You have an electrical problem in the trailer !

It could be a floating ground or intermittent converter problem.

Get it checked out by a pro.

There could be a shock hazard on 110v if you’re standing outside and touch the trailer skin .

Voltage continually strays from 1 V to 110 mV. Should have checked my post sooner. Thanks for responding.

Any suggestions whether this is a full unit replacement issue or possibly a motor swap.

IT DOESN’T sound like a “fan problem”... it sounds as if it’s a wiring problem,...perhaps a dangerous one. Fix the WIRING and the fan will likely work properly.
