fantastic fan install for '63 city/batt system.

Don't mean to be selfish, here. But I am starting to research the old fan replacement to a fantastic fan upgrade. And I want one.

Where do I put the transformer to run it off of city power?

The connections for city/battery power can easily be made, and it will be a quick fix if I just need battery power. I simply have to figure out either a new location for the existing transformer, or simply wire a fulltime 12 volt converted power source from the electric panel.

You guys with Univolt have it made.....

Why not do what we did, and install a converter?
It'll keep the battery charged, and power the Fantastic vent. I mounted ours in a cabinet next to the battery compartment, and simply plugged it into an outlet when needed.

I was faced with this issue and took the advice of Overlander63. I Installed a converter ( Intellipower 45 ) at the same time I put in the new Fantastic fan . Really makes charging and power issues very simple so I also got to put in the stereo I had been wanting.

Good point about the stereo. the Inteli-Powers supply a very clean 12 volts for your electronics.
