When we picked up our Globetrotter with two AC units, we talked to the dealer about installing a fantastic fan cover for our single fantastic fan. These covers allow you to use your fan when it is raining (otherwise the fan top closes automatically when it senses water).
The cover they stocked would not fit on our trailer because of the skylight just forward of the fantastic fan.
Have any of you been able to install a cover on this fan that fits on our trailer? What brand/model did you install?
Thanks,
Steve

Fan covers
It is possible your dealer did not have the authentic "Fantastic Fan Ultrabreeze" covers. They may have had the other brand being a "Maxaire" cover. You want to use the "Ultrabreeze" cover on the Fantastic fans because it allows the flip up cover to fully open.
I have 2 of these covers on my Airstream, 1 being next to the skylight, and have no fitment issues. I installed them myself and took less than 20 minutes per fan.
When you purchase the "Ultrabreeze" cover be sure to get the optional bug screen that slips into the airway opening behind the exhaust grate.

One more thought
Your fan has a rain sensor. Even after I installed the covers the dang things would close down at the first hint of moisture. Very aggravating! I mean if you even sweated a bit they would shut! I called manufacturer and nice lady that answered told me how to eliminate rain sensor. It took maybe 10 minutes per fan to disconnect. Problem solved.
It has to be raining pretty darn hard and blowing just right to have any rain come in. We are careful about leaving for the day with lid fully open. We usually close them to halfway when not at trailer.

Proper fan cover
The "Maxx Air" cover will not allow the fan hood to open fully when installed over a "Fantastic Fan". The shape of the "Ultrabreeze" cover allows for fan hood to fully open and have no restriction on airflow. The proper cover is available at the dreaded CW for about $60.00 and the optional bug screen is about $12.00. Have at it.

Proper fan & Screen
Yes, those are the correct items. I used Dicor self leveling sealant. I do not have a tube at the house right now, but I think it was the 501 stuff. These covers go on real easy. several YouTube videos showing install. All the hardware is supplied with cover.
Steve,
The ultra breeze cover should fit. Also note the Dometic’s warranty is second to none on these covers. I had one crack after 3 years and they replaced it no questions asked.
I have two of them on my 23D.
Please post a picture of your fan/skylight configuration on your 2 AC unit 27’ Globetrotter. I’m planning on getting one soon and would like to see how the roof is layer out.
Thanks
Ronnie
