Carbon filter air cleaning

Iím a big fan of clean smelling air in enclosed spaces. All it takes is a little activated carbon - Iím wondering if this or something similar would work in the airstream ducted vents? Can you remove the round louvre covers and install something like this? Curious Ö

Another option would be a dedicated air filter but for space and weight would like to avoid.

Would be a big job to do this for every vent. An alternative would be to buy a home furnace charcoal activated filter and cut it to size to fit the AC intake vents....just a thought.
