Bathroom Round Vent Handle

Are the plastic round vent handles available to purchase separate from the entire powered vent assembly? I have searched and thus far found nothing. Ignore the fact it needs cleaned, we are wrapping up a week long trip.

Is there a separate part number for it? If not (and I doubt there is) then you'll either have to remove the unit and repair it somehow or replace it. In the parts manual for mine it shows it as a single unit

Lots of folks replace the handle with a homemade version. Search the forum for the solution.

Hi , You can get replacement handles from E-Trailer.com (buy 2 ….. you’ll need them). They are kind of a pain to change but doable. Take trim ring off and use a long Philips head screw driver…. It takes a little gentle bending of the arms that the handle attached to. It took me about an hour.
The handles are pretty universal… you’ll recognize the picture.

As others has said, handles are available. I've found a short stubby Phillips screwdriver will work. I took a piece of flat aluminum and shapped it to the same pattern as the handle and attached it so no more to replace. If you keep your trailer long enough, you will probably need to replace the cover, fan motor, and the screen. On the screen I've cleaned up the old and glued new screen on and works good as new and have replaced all the parts as they wear out one piece at a time.

You sure can order them. I ordered mine from Colonial. The stock # is 682180 and it was $6.99 plus $8 shipping. I ordered 2 figuring it would break again. I now use 2 hands to pull closed and pull from the sides rather than the center. Get yourself an "L" shaped screw driver or socket. I found getting the screws out to be a real pain.

I repaired mine...buying an attractive strip of thin, pliable stock metal that fits the width perfectly from Ace Hardware, cutting it to length and drilling small holes in the ends and screwing in place...took 10 min. Works like a charm.

I got a replacement handle delivered yesterday. Oddly, it came in packaging from Dexter. Does Dexter own Ventline Vanair?
