Window Rebuild

Does anyone know of a step by step instruction on re-building the windows on my '76, 31foot? The sun shading on the inside is bubbled and pealing, the gaskets need replacing, and they need to be re-sealed. I'd like to re-do all of the things that would bring them back to "like new" condition. If anyone can help me with a thread, or something in a book please let me know. To do all of the windows without a system is frightening.

Thank you both for the advice to look at the two threads. I hope that the guy does keep going with his discoveries. Who knows, it could just be that he didn't get his camera back. Thanks again - big help

Window rebuild

I can walk you through the process of rebuilding your old double pane windows on your Airstream to a single pane configuration without breaking any glass. I use new "U" gaskets, and bucked rivets. Have rebuilt all of mine on my 1976 29' Ambassador. When they are done they look brand new ( just like the single pane replacements Airstream now sells for their customers).
Contact me and I will do them for you in my shop. Sure beats replacing them at $450.00 each...
