I had my knobs come off on our 2014 fc . To remedy this I purchased 1/4 20 Allen set screws from Ace hardware (stainless) heated slightly with my turner torch and threaded them into the hole on the bottom. I'm was told this used to be standard some years ago ,I guess they cheeped out and started just sticking them on. Total cost $6 and 30 minutes

They didn't really cheap out so much as getting tired of replacing overtightened knobs under warranty.

Well I no longer pick them up after a good gravel road.

Thanks, I think I'll do the same. Tired of them loosening and slipping off.
