Swapping shades/blindes

I would like to replace the brushed aluminum blinds that are in my flying cloud with the retractable pull shades that can be found in the International Signatures. Has anyone done this? I suppose my main concern is having to drill new holes in the interior aluminum walls. But, if t he new pull shades cover up the old holes.... might not be so bad.

It's been done, we like the aluminum blinds quite well and wouldn't change. I think they they coordinate perfectly with the more traditional FC interior. Unlike shades, they allow you to control the amount of light and visibility, and still allow fresh air when the windows are pushed open. Either one has the peekaboo opening along the sides, we don't worry about it but there have been various solutions for that.

You can just fill in any rogue extra holes with rivets. I wouldn't worry about that...

Thanks for the insight guys. Rivets are a good idea. dkottum, I see what you mean. I suppose the blinds do offer more versatility. Several of my anchors that hold the bottom of the blinds in place were not installed correctly and they often come loose, thereby making the "peekaboo" opening even bigger. Plus, those shiny blinds are a magnet for a curious (and sometimes destructive) 3yr old.

Lumatic, if I decide to pull the trigger on the retractable shades I'll keep you in mind.

Thanks guys.
