Hehr Windows

Having a bit of a problem with our 2004 Safari Hehr 3/4 windows. They are no longer cranking all the way open. Started taking the darn things apart but not much to do there. As you turn the knob, many, many turns till it starts to engage when opening any closing. Hoe does someone get into the guts of the mechanism to repair or replace?
